One of Ben Affleck’s mansions is on the market per the article by Kevin Slane at Boston.com.

 The Cambridge native’s four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom Greek Revival plantation in Riceboro, Georgia (about 35 miles south of Savannah), has an asking price of $8.9 million, according to the listing from Engel & Vöelkers. The 6,000-square-foot home is set on 87 acres and is known as “The Big House.”

The City of Bozeman is updating its Community Plan, which will guide future growth and development within the City over the next ten to twenty years. The Community Plan update engages the public in defining a shared vision for the future of Bozeman.

The purpose of the Community Plan is to integrate the concerns and expressions of the community into a document that guides the City on how to grow and develop.  A high rate of land development, changing economic conditions and employment, and maturing nearby communities, make it necessary to update plans for the future growth of the community.

Volunteers Needed November 3rd-16th!

Can the Griz is an annual food drive competition between MSU and UM the two weeks leading up to the Cat/Griz game.  We are seeking volunteers to help decorate and distribute boxes around Bozeman, hand out Gallatin Valley Food Bank wish lists at grocery stores, pick up food around campus and deliver it to the food bank, collect donations at the football game, and more! On Thursday, October 25th, come together with a representative of GVLT, share a coffee, and talk about your ideas and hopes for Gallatin County. When we come together as a community to listen to and learn from each other, we have the power to impact both neighborhoods and lives. That’s what A Seat at the Table is all about. Summer in Bozeman and Livingston

We have enjoyed lots of sun and fun this summer. As Bozeman and Livingston have warmed up, the activities and entertainment have also. Music on Main is weekly on Thursday in downtown Bozeman as well as two weekly farmer's markets and monthly art walk, we enjoyed the Bozeman Stampede and the Livingston Rodeo, The SweetPea Festival, The Ridge Run and numerous other events, never a dull moment! Shelter Island, Montana, began earning its name back in the late 1800s, according to its agent Dawn Maddux. The native people of the area would hunt buffalo by running them off Painted Rock Cliff (an outcrop neighboring the island that still exhibits tribal paintings). The story goes that one buffalo swam its way to safety at Shelter Island. In the early 1900s, a drowning fisherman did the same, and lived here for a time. There was also historically a sweat lodge on the island, Ms. Maddux said.

Today, Shelter Island is home to Montana’s largest private estate, which was completed in 2011.
