It’s official – this is a busy industry, and if one is proficient at it, it’s even busier today.  The Bozeman real estate market has turned for the better this past year and professional Realtors are searching for inventory to meet demand.

When decided to jump back into the residential and developer real estate sales business in Bozeman, I thought I would activate my license, hit the office a few days each week, and ease back in – well, think again PollyAnna.

Last Tuesday I had a schedule that included:

  • Office meeting
  • New listings tour
  • Meet potential Seller and hear about his goals
  • Show potential Buyer 5-6 homes, based on her goals
  • Buyer home inspection
  • Meet potential Buyer at a listing

It is all well and good, and yes does fall under the adage of fitting 10 pounds of stuff in the 8 pound bag - and I love it!  However, there is also the other stuff that goes into running a professional real estate practice – business operations and company direction, personnel requirements, finance, marketing plans and executions, technology enhancement and use, and more…

If you have ever entertained the thought or possibility of being a professional service provider and Realtor, please recognize that along with being a great and fun business, it is a business…with many responsibilities that need addressed each day.

If you are a patron of a Realtor, take a moment to reflect on the many balls a good Realtor juggles each day in order to give high quality service.  It is far more than simply - getting a license, hanging it with a Broker, finding MLS listings to sell a Buyer or some neighborhood folks looking to sell, and depositing a pay check.  To do it with high quality and consistency takes quite a bit of knowledge, skill and expertise, the ability to learn, and the wearing of multiple hats.

To me it is all worth it - I love it and enjoy being of service!
