Known first and foremost as a people person, Katie has always had an aptitude for making friends wherever she goes. She has parlayed her synergistic personality into a career in sales that has taken the form of everything from make-up and cellphones at mall kiosks in high school to home interiors with Pier 1, sales manager for Headframe Spirits, and now as a REALTOR in the Southwest Montana communities.
Katie moved to Montana from Boise, Idaho in 2003. She studied Family and Consumer Sciences at Montana State University and fell in love with all that Montana has to offer. Katie and her husband met in Bozeman in 2012 and after traveling with him for 3 years while he was on active duty in the United States Army, they came back to Montana in 2016. Butte, specifically, where they found a new love for both the history and the future of this unique mountain town that they now call home. When she is not hard at work supporting her clients, you can be sure to find Katie and her husband rallying their friends and family for some sort of Montana adventure. From hiking, skiing, and rafting to enjoying unique eateries and craft cocktails, Katie loves finding and introducing everyone to the best parts of Montana.
Katie has been involved with the Butte Young Professionals since their inception in 2017 and has served on the board in many positions including as the Vice President, and was also welcomed to the Montana Ambassadors by Governor Bullock in 2019. In addition, Katie holds a 200-hour Yoga certification and has a level 2 International Certification in Spirits from the Wine Spirits Education Trust. Both of these speak to her well-rounded hobbies and desire to always keep learning.
Katie took a leap that has been long awaiting her by becoming a Realtor in January 2020 and with an unprecedented market she learned quickly in the first years of her career. Adding to her real-life real estate education Katie and her husband went through the process of building and purchasing their first home together in 2019 and moved in 2020. The process has been wonderful, exciting, and overwhelming at times. Through this, she learned so much that helps her identify pain points and solutions for her clients in both the buying and selling process. With a passion for her community in Butte and Montana, Katie is excited for the next chapter in her career with the knowledgeable and client-focused team at Engel & Völkers.
